Working session 2.3. : Public power for the common good

The New Economy Models (NEMs) propose that those organisations who care about employees, supply-chain, environment and society should be rewarded by the system. What mechanisms can be developed to reward those organisations with a higher contribution to the common good? What are the different roles of local/regional governments, national governments and international institutions? Participants will discuss about how to use public procurement, taxation, development programmes, entrepreneurship programmes and other public polices to reward those organisations that are really contributing to the common good.
