Charlotte Newman joined the Rainmaker Foundation as COO in January 2017. Her role is focused on mobilising the collective impact of the Rainmaker community, building strategic partnerships and developing its range of programmes to bring disruptive thinking and innovation to the charity sector.
The Rainmaker Foundation exists to help small charities with big potential find their inner startup. It’s accelerator programme engages 100+ experts, business leaders and philanthropists that form the Rainmaker community; to provide charities with the tools, resources and support normally found in tech ecosystems, to help them scale their impact.
Over the course of her career, Charlotte has helped to build the capacity of many small NGOs in Sri Lanka, Israel and the UK, working in various roles for the Tea Leaf Trust, UK Task Force on Arab Issues, Aegis Trust and MAG International. She has also lectured in Political Theory at OP Jindal Global University in India and holds an MA in International Law from SOAS and a BA in Politics and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin.
