Working session 3.5. : Ecodesign, bio-construction, circular economy and sustainable urbanism. Building habitable places with common sense

Cities are responsible for 1/3 of global carbon emissions. How can cities and construction sector innovate and contribute to the Paris Agreement objectives on climate change? How can we integrate models such as circular economy in the design of our cities?

Experts and participants will identify the key strategies to co-create sustainable living places. They will address topics such as urban eco-design, how to promote bio-construction based on local, recycled and renewable resources and how to build passive houses. They will also identify how to transform regulation to foster sustainable urbanism and bio-construction.
