Working session 3.3. : Co-creating Social-Sustainable-Sharing-Smart Cities

Smart cities are being criticized because, although they bring technological innovation into the cities, the Smart city model does not integrate entrepreneurs and local citizens.

On the other hand, the New Economy Models (NEMs) have different and specific innovative models for cities; Sharing territories (collaborative economy), municipalities for the common good (Economy for the Common Good), “Buy Social” (Social Enterprises), Fair trade cities (Fair Trade), B-Cities (B-Lab and Sistema B) or circular cities. What a mess for local governments!

Experts and participants in this session will discuss about, What is the common ground of NEMs proposals for cities? How can we use the best of these models to co-create Social-Sustainable-Sharing-Smart Cities?
